Privacy policy

ptaxchecker.com lets you type a U.S. street address and look up what public county GIS shows on the roll. If you ask, we can pass your information to a local property tax advisor. This policy explains what we collect and why. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
JPC Consulting LLC operates this website. Questions: privacy@ptaxchecker.com.
What we collect
- Lookups. The address you type, the county we match, the roll figures the public GIS returns, and whether a check completed. We store this on our servers (Cloudflare) so we can run the site and see what is working.
- Advisor requests. If you send a request: name, email, phone, what you are hoping for, the address, and the check results. We share that with a local advisor so they can follow up.
- Technical logs. Browser type, approximate region, and request times. We skip obvious bots where we can.
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not run advertising pixels or sell a mailing list.
Public GIS
Roll values come from open county or state map services. Those records are already public. Some places (including New Jersey) hide owner names on the internet version of the map. We show what the layer returns. We do not add a paid property-data feed.
Cookies
The public check does not need a tracking cookie. A private operations page may use a key in your browser so the operator can stay signed in. That is not used to advertise to you.
Who we share with
- A local property tax advisor, when you ask us to send your request.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and database in the United States.
- Authorities if the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Contact consent
If you check the box on the advisor form, you agree that JPC Consulting LLC or a local advisor may call, email, or text you about that property. Consent is not required to look up an address. You can opt out by telling the person who contacts you, or by emailing us.
How long we keep it
Lookup and lead records stay as long as we need them to operate the project and follow up on requests, then we delete or anonymize them when they are no longer useful.
Your choices
Email privacy@ptaxchecker.com to ask what we have, to correct it, or to ask us to delete a lead. If you are in a state with extra privacy rights, we will treat that request in line with those rules where they apply.
Children
This site is for adults checking property records. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above.
